It is early for them, but they do bloom late winter to early spring. In the middle of winter...
Yes, there are a bunch in the back yard that have the yellow tips. I usually don't see this bunch as they are around the corner, but I was watching the antics of the squirrels and trying to figure out what was so fascinating to them back there. I think it is boom-boom time for them.Beautiful - looks like the rest of them are ready to pop out as well.
DC had some of the cherry trees bloom a week or two ago, so that doesn't surprise me.wow! I was hiking the c&o canal this weekend up near Potomac and there were trees with buds on them.
Have to go for a walk in Old St Marys City, past Farthings Ordinary, past Margaret Brent Gazebo (you can look down into the gulch from there) take your next right, there will be two buildings on the left, and one on the right, walk past the two buildings on the left and there is a path that takes you to the gulch. and then down a path to the gulch.. (NOT the swamp path).. hundreds if not thousands of daffodils on the path down to the water/ beachWhat's that?
ahhhh spring when a young squirrel's thoughts turn to boom boom. Completely relatable.
Remind me to tell you sometime about my back packing trip across eastern Europewow! I was hiking the c&o canal this weekend up near Potomac and there were trees with buds on them.
