Mommy Dearest received her first shot on Tuesday. The only issue she had was getting the shot while sitting in the car. She hadn't prepared for that and would have dressed differently if she had known. Other than that, smooth as silk. :yay:

Went to Hollywood fire house this morning easy peasy now already have time and date for number 2.

I found the whole process totally organized from the the reservation, getting the shot, to getting a reservation for #2.

Well done St. Mary's County health department.
Good to hear after so much bad press.

My dad gets his 2nd shot tomorrow.

Congrats to you both - did it hurt? I'm signed up but I HATE needles and not sure if I'll go through with it when I get my appointment.
MD said her arm was sore the next day, but she made them give it to her in her left arm because she sleeps on her right side. :roflmao:

We had a company Town Hall the other day and they discussed coming back to the office. It was mentioned that possibly you couldn't come back to the office unless you had the vaccine shot. Anyone heard of something like that via Pax or the umpteen other contractors?? I am 99% sure I am not taking that vaccine anytime soon.

They haven't said so where I'm at but I'm waiting for the same thing to be declared.

I didn't even feel the shot on Thursday. Sore to the touch spot the next day. Not much of anything today. Dont worry yourself over the pain from this shot.
Now, the shingles shots are a whole different level of "OMG they used a jackhammer" kind of pain.

I mentioned to my DR Thurs I wanted the "new" shingles shot(s) as the other I had several years ago was deemed ineffective. She told me not to get the shingles shot within 2 months of covid shots. I did tell her I did not want the covid vac (got a long lecture on that!). She insisted I get the covid shots before shingles.
FWIW, she had just had her 2nd covid vac the day before and said she was feeling pretty crappy because of it.

We filled out the questionaire and got some vague reply back about "not really sure what manufacturing businesses we meant". Still waiting for a follow up...

I completely agree! Even with rescheduling people because of the storm.
