First Grass cut of the Year

F'me, now I will have to cut grass every week, until the end of November.

My yard is full of some sort of purple flowers and dandelions. By not cutting my grass/weeds I’m doing my part to save the bee population!

Earlier in the week I was thinking about cutting the grass this weekend, but with this chilly weather, I will do it later in the week.

I keep trying to tell my husband to stop throwing down grass seed and mowing. He's killing my dandelions and I need to make a batch of dandelion jelly, I just finished my last jar!!

Was planning on doing it this weekend, but got some snow both yesterday and today so I'll wait until next weekend.

Last week I deburred the yard. Damn sweet gum trees. With the wind lately I'm going to have to rake again before any mowing.

On a side note, does anyone know if it's possible for daffodils to propagate other than spreading at the bulbs? I've got something growing about 6' away in the lawn that looks like sprouts.

Edit: Researched and discovered they can create seeds, but usually requires human intervention. Bees aren't attracted to them.

Could've been a squirrel or some other critter dug some up to eat and buried its leftovers.
