I saw what I believe was an Oriole for the first time. It was investigating a bird house. It went in and came back out two days ago and never came back.
According to my bird book, it looked like an Orchard Oriole. Its breast was rusty shade of orange rather than a bright orange. The color did not extend to the underside of its tail feathers.
