The very first Forsythia on our bush just happened to catch my eye today. Spring is on the way!

I should have added that this is in North Carolina...just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. But who knows where these little bits might be blooming!

:lmao: Guess it's a good thing I didn't get around to looking out in the yard this evening!! Might be about 3 or 4 weeks too early here in SOMD!! :buddies:

I was gonna say, that's not around here!!

:yeahthat: But, you know, it only takes a couple of warm days for a forsythia or some daffodils (in a protected sunny spot) to pop! Even around here. I still can't wait. Think my sap is rising!!!

Having Fun!
Checked my forsythia, daffodils & quince bush last weekend -- buds are there for the forsythia & quince and daffodils are up about 6 inches but no buds there. It'll be another 3 weeks probably..... Can't wait -- tired of winter already & we really haven't had a bad one so far this year.

I am with you! I am sick of winter and here in the Smoky Mountains, we really haven't had a bad one either. We have only had about a half inch of snow where we live. I am ready for the leaves to start coming back on the trees and the spring wildflowers to start blooming. Hopefully real soon.

Checked out your photos from link. I really love #3 for Cade's Cove Cabins -- great shot! Where are they and are they used for anything?

Thank you, that just happens to be my very favorite! The cabins are in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is an 11 mile loop that is in a beautiful valley. The cabins are just part of the park for visitors to go through and see how people lived back in the day. As usual, the vandalism is horrible, there are those that think they have to carve their name in everything. If caught it is a pretty hefty fine. You can see more about Cades Cove if you go online to www.bluntweb.com and look for the link to Cades Cove.:howdy:
