FWIW, we've been importing, raising and showing our dogs for over 20 years and haven't lost even one digit (or kid) yet. BUT like my post said...there's always a first time for everything DoWhat. Would you like to volunteer a nce juicy limb or two? Ham hocks are always a favorite I hear.
In all seriousness, I have been active with AKC and ATTS (American Temperament Testing Society) for many years, and temperament is my top priority. I have been an evaluator at many Temperament tests, and have hosted many all breed tests at my home. We have tested pretty much every breed known, and I was the first to test Corgis at mine last year. SO,I do believe i know a little about correct temperament. We are quite well known in the Rottie world, having bred many champions, specialty winning and major pointed dogs. I am bound by a code of ethics to NOT discuss price as a pre-requisite to purchase....sorry. It's not that mine are expensive, you'll pay double what you'd pay for one of mine at any pet store, it's that price shouldn't be a primary consideration when researching this breed when there are so many more important things to be concerned with. Hips, eyes, hearts, TEMPERAMENT...the list goes on and on
oh and the "i only want a pet" doesn't fly either....i would want a "pet" to live a very long healthy life too, so these things are equally important to the casual "pet" owner.
Oh and I orchestrate the cardiac clinic at the Talbot County dog show too. Health and temperament are very important.
