Fishing holes and Blue Tick Hounds

Hi, I am new on here. just curious, where are the good fishing holes around LaPlata? and also I am looking to get a dog, I want a blue tick hound, let me know if you all have any leads. thanks!!

Don't know of any fishing around LaPlata. You might try Nanjemoy. Will check around (my hubby might know someone) concerning the Blue Tick Hound.

I'm not sure what kind of fishing you do, but Allen's Fresh is one of the early fishing holes for white perch, yellow perch and some catfish. It's about 10 minutes south of LaPlata. You go south on 301 until you hit 234, take a left and it's a quarter-mile up that road.

It depends what you are fishing for.

Gilbert run has a few fish in it, but crowded.

Mattawoman creek is shallow with some fish and of course you have the Wycomico, Patomac and Patuxant rivers.
