Fishing report 9/3/14

Went and tried my luck around midday. Pretty hot for late summer. The pond is down pretty low. Lots of green floating algae. I got 5 including 3 bass. Went back to a lead head jig. Just drag is slow across the bottom. I got a few short bites. I even lost 1 of my jigtails from a short bite.

I can't wait for trout season to start. A few more weeks.

Fishing report from my Son on the Columbia. 2 days in a row now. They were just waiting for me to leave.

Those will each weigh about 21-22 pounds.

Some are hatchery, some are not. This is a run you can keep anything. If a fin is clipped it is hatchery. Son said some guy threw back a big Silver because it was not clipped. People in other boats were yelling at him, telling him it's ok this time of year.
