I use Frontline but it doesn't seem to be able to keep up. I have even treated my yard for fleas with no joy. Just thought that a dip and then keep them in the house for a while.

I tried just about every flea-dip out there without much success.

I tried Frontline and didn't get good results. I now use the Sergeant brand stuff from Wal-Mart. My dogs have been flea-free for 5 years. :yay:

If you have fleas that bad, you've got 'em in your house. Fleas spend relatively little time actually on your pets.

I have used frontline before with great success. It just seems as though now being in my new house these fleas have super powers.

You are correct. Spent a bundle last year getting rid of them and now I have to do it again.......

As a groomer I feel I can only guarantee dogs to leave without fleas after dipping. It will give you some residual effect but not much. I would go with frontline, advantage or some product like that. Hickory Hollow on Clarks landing road sells frontline without the vets prices. Please tell them Shelley sent you. I would gladly do your dog for you but would only guarantee them clean when they leave. You could then follow up with your frontline in a few days. I have seen fleas being irradiated from the house only using this method. Good luck. I am located in Hollywood
Okay what are your prices? I have two dogs at about 7 pounds each. I understand your guarantee. Would like to get this done if it's not to expensive otherwise they will have to put up with me scrubbing them. Ouch!

I did a one-two punch initially. Fogged the house with Raid Flea Killer Plus (purple can) to knock down the population and control them for 4 months. Then I treated the dogs with the Sergeant's "PreTect® Flea and Tick Squeeze-On for Dogs" from Wal-Mart. I haven't had a problem since. :yay:

I got some flea spray for indoor/outdoor use and am treating the house inside and out. I have to do this every three days because the flea eggs hatch and start all over again.

Get a better spray with growth regulator and that gets the eggs and the larve and pupa stage too..not just kills adult fleas..
Do you have a recommendation for a spray?

You need to get a flea spray or fogger with an adult flea killer AND suppresses the other stages via an IGR. Precor and Nylar are the main IGRs (insect growth regulators) in use and stop flea eggs from hatching. The stuff from Raid I mentioned has both and is the best I've found, hands down.
