fleas

Ok, other than the Advantix and things like that that work really well, but cost a fortune, is there a holistic remedy for fleas on my animals....I couldnt figure out why my dog was scratching....couldnt find anything, and figured it was allergies. Then this morning, I noticed one of the cats was pulling her hair out...she does this whenever she has fleas, and sure enough I combed through and there was one. I am guessing they all have them, and thats why they're upset....4 cats and a dog, so I really dont want to spend the big money if I can avoid it. Never had a problem last summer or the last few summers, and have never had a problem in the winter. I am figuring the dog picked them up over CHristmas in NC.

Can anyone help me?

You can try dusting them with diatomaceous earth, or DE as most people call it. Keep it away from their eyes, and brush it in.

garlic works wonders to deter fleas. not sure if cats can take it, but I do give it to my dogs. Good luck
