Not sure where to post this but will start here and see how it goes. First of all let me start by saying I do not have any pets inside my house. That being said we are having a flea problem. It is better now than it was 2 weeks ago but atleast once a day I am finding a flea either on one of the kids or myself. Does any one have a quick fix tip on how to get rid of fleas out of your house? I am starting to get paranoid that we have a family of flea infested racoons under the house or something but I am soooo not going uder there to look.

It's been too warm for the fleas to be killed off. I have 2 dogs, one inside, one outside, both get flea treatments, have an exterminator, and I found a flea on my sock the other morning. I checked both dogs and didn't find any on them. But the flea likes warm moist areas, and St. Mary's County is one big warm moist area. We need a continuous one or two week freeze.

You dont have to have pets to have fleas. Flea eggs can lay dormant for up to three months before hatching. You need to treat your house with something that has a residual, dont vacumn after you treat. If you do it now, you may not have anything to worry about when the weather gets warm. Good Luck

We too didn't have any Pets in our home years ago, when we had Fleas in the house. We lived near a sandy Beach, which I hear Fleas love. If you want to try something less invasive than getting an Extreminator, try sprinkling some Borax (Laudndry Additive) on the Carpets. You can find this in the Laundry Section of most stores that sell detergent. Go to the Dollar Store, and buy Flea Collars for a Large Dog size. Cut the Collar in to 3 inch peices, and put them in your Vacuum bag, add another when you change the bag. Good luck.

sounds like a plan. :yay:

Would flea bombs work as well to kill off the active ones now?

I would think so. But I would get the Bombs from a Vet's Office, or a Farm Feed Store, making sure that you have some for the Crawl Space, as well as the Attick. Get a couple more than the actual square footage requirements. I use those Flea Collars all year round in my vacuum.
