Charles county in southern maryland, st. Marys county in southern maryland,
Until 1215 pm est.
At 916 am est, radar indicated an area of very heavy rain 2 miles north of bel alton, moving southeast at 20 mph. Flooding was reported in charles county. Radar indicates that two inches of rain has already fallen over the warned area. Another inch will be possible through 1215 pm est.
Some locations that will continue to be affected by the heavy rain include la plata, leonardtown, st. Mary''s city, hollywood and piney point.
A flood warning means that flooding is occurring or is imminent.
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water may be too deep to allow your car to cross safely.

This Watch Includes The Adjacent Waters Of The Tidal Potomac, Chesapeake Bay And Atlantic Coastal Waters.
