Radar Estimates... Spotter And Automated Rain Gauge Reports Indicate That Much Of The Area Has Already Seen 1 To 2 Inches Of Rainfall. Another 1 To 2 Inches Is Possible Through Early Evening With Locally Higher Amounts Possible. This Will Be Sufficient To Cause Flooding Of Small Creeks... Streams And Tributaries Across The Area.

The Areas Most Likely To See Flooding Are All Areas East Of The Blue Ridge Mountains Including The Baltimore And Washington Metropolitan Areas... Southern And Central Maryland And The Central Shenandoah Valley.

Most Flood Deaths Occur In Automobiles. Never Drive Your Vehicle Into Areas Where The Water Covers The Roadway. Flood Waters Are Usually Deeper Than They Appear. Just One Foot Of Flowing Water Is Powerful Enough To Sweep Vehicles Off The Road. When Encountering Flooded Roads Make The Smart Choice... Turn Around... Dont Drown.
