Foam practice golf balls

Does anybody use these?

I think they give you a good indication of how you hit the ball. They are limited flight, so you don't have to go all over the place to retrieve them. I like how they feel coming off of the club. I think the wiffle type balls would be more impacted by the wind and not give a true indication of how the ball was hit.

They are EXCELLENT training aids.

You have to put a good swing on them to get them to fly well. You can move them left and right, up and down. A good or bad swing means good or bad results consistent with what it would have been on the course or range with real balls.

Really good for the back yard, limited space/park. Plus, in no time, I bet you can get Apollo to go get 'em and bring them back!

I took Apollo to the dog park twice while I hit some balls. He shows no interest in them at all. Maybe if I dipped them in au jus first.

How far do they go if you hit them with a mid-iron or so? I've been thinking of trying something like this but have limited space in my back yard.

I suppose it depends on whose you use, some going further than others and I have not specifically used Callaways. The ones I have used will go consistently further based on club choice and to answer your question I'm guessing an 8 iron will fly about 20 yards??? A 7 maybe 22-25? Good question and that is only an educated guess.

Thanks. That'll be tight for my backyard but it's probably worth a try.
