Supper's Ready
Well folks, here we are in the final round, the Super Bowl.
The season has been interesting for both contenders, let’s start with homedepot20. For the first third of his very first season this year, he was a bottom dweller, ranging anywhere between sixth and last in his division. But at week 7, he bumped to an average 3rd and 4th place, spending two weeks in 2nd place and two weeks in first. One of those weeks in first place was at the end of week 17, which is all that matters. One advantage homedepot20 has over donbarzini is that he wins in a tie, with 61 cumulative playoff points over donbarzini's 55. Can he have one more banner day in today’s game? That remains to be seen.
For donbarzini, the story is very different. All season long, he ranked 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in his division. In only one week he dipped down into 4th place, only to recover back once again near or at the top. In 13 of the 17 weeks, he finished the week out in either 1st or 2nd place, 6 of those in 1st place. So the consistency factor could favor him going into today’s game. But will he keep that consistency today and finish as the champion? We’re about to find out.
I’ll post their picks at the start of the game, in case either of them wants to change picks (they have up until kick-off). But in the mean time, stay tuned for the color commentary beginning in just under one hour from now.
