The graceful city on the South Carolina coast buried its poor orphans and its penniless sailors in a place called the Seamen's Burial Grounds in the 1800s....The city clerk's paperwork says "move the stones," and historians believe a confused -- or, perhaps, an unscrupulous -- contractor might have taken that as an opening to move the headstones, but leave the bodies in the dirt.
