Less than one week before the California primary, Google listed “Nazism” as the ideology of the California Republican Party.

In the “knowledge panel” that provides easy access to information next to search results, Google listed “Nazism” as an “ideology” of the party. The word “Nazism” was hyperlinked to a secondary page that shows “Nazism” alongside other “ideologies” of California Republicans like “Conservatism,” "Market liberalism,” “Fiscal conservatism,” and “Green conservatism."

But voters looking for information by searching “California Republicans” or “California Republican Party” were getting “Nazism” next to their search results until Google took the listing down Thursday after a query from VICE News.

Nothing these people do shocks me anymore.

I’m just patiently waiting for them to provoke the 2nd American Civil War.

Theyre not going to like the outcome.

Are they hoping ISIS has their backs? Because they sure do *heart* them some terrorists.

I stopped using Google years ago for the reason of their bias. Now, Google is over the top.

Don’t believe everything on the internet, in any form, y’all.

Google Associates California GOP With ... Nazism

On Thursday, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) shared a screenshot of Google listing "Nazism" as the "ideology" of the California Republican Party.

"Dear Google, This is a disgrace. Stop The Bias," McCarthy tweeted.

According to the screenshot, Google described the California Republican Party as "the California affiliate of the United States Republican Party. The party chairman is Jim Brulte, and is based in Burbank, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. The CRP also has a headquarters in Sacramento." So far, so good.

Then, Google listed "ideology." Along with "Conservatism, Market liberalism, Fiscal conservatism, [and] Green conservatism," the search giant added, "Nazism." Yep, National Socialism, the ideology of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Party.

Google Does It Again

This is similar to the occasion when Google instituted discriminatory “fact checks” that showed up when people searched on the names of conservative media outlets like the Daily Caller. I wrote about that here.

“Nazism” presumably was the childish act of a junior Google employee. Maybe he is about to leave Google, or maybe he thinks his superiors will applaud what he did. It will be interesting to see how Google follows up. The “Nazism” reference was removed after a complaint.

As on so many prior occasions, one wonders whether the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division is preparing some action against the left-wing internet oligarchs. If so, they had better get cracking. If our next president is a Democrat, such childish games as we saw today are likely to be institutionalized and rewarded.

OXON HILL, M.D. :jet: — Former Google senior software engineer James Damore told PJ Media that Leftist staff at Google are "trying to dig through" a private mailing list for conservatives at the Silicon Valley company, attempting to get them fired.

"There are some networks [of conservatives], they're not well-known," Damore said in an interview Friday. "There's a private mailing list at Google, but many employees want to dig through that -- it's a conservative mailing list."

Why do employees "want to dig through it"? So they can get conservatives fired. "They want to dig through that to find anything that might kind of go against the code of conduct and try to get those people fired," Damore said.

"It's really dangerous to try to coordinate actions" if you are a conservative at the Silicon Valley giant, he explained.

Last August, Google fired Damore after the former software engineer released a memo attacking the company as an "ideological echo chamber." His memo revealed a bias against conservative ideas at the company, and suggested that there might be biological reasons for the gender gap in tech companies.

Perhaps ironically, after his memo, women at Google took a day off.

Damore filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), but the agency did not act very quickly on it. "Normally, the NLRB lasts just a couple weeks, it's supposed to be expedited," Damore told PJ Media Friday. "It's supposed to be expedited, but this was taking months."

Kernel panic: Aiee.......
Except where Google is Claiming it was online 'vandalism' ..... of the Wikipedia Page

Yep. Google uses data from wiki in some search results. If you go to the CRP wiki page, you can see the edits of the past few weeks where "nazism" is added and removed.

GOOGLE FIRES REPUBLICAN ENGINEER WHO SPOKE OUT AGAINST ‘OUTRAGE MOBS’

The day before his suspension, Wacker went on Fox Business to discuss the company’s anti-conservative bias, telling Trish Regan, “You don’t know what’s going to offend somebody next and a lot of time they are going to HR over these trivial things.”

#Google Software engineer @m_wacker SOUNDS OFF on his company’s anti-conservative bias: “These outrage mobs are so hostile. You want to kind of want to push back on them… but if you push back, they can turn on you instead.” #TrishReganpic.twitter.com/giUYQFAxay
— Trish Regan (@trish_regan) May 29, 2019

Wacker was the moderator of the Republicans listserv at Google and detailed in a Medium post his disputes with left-wing employees, several of which escalated into official complaints.
