Ford dealership?

In the past I have not had any problems with Waldorf Ford's mechanical work... we did have an issue with the car being scratched while in there (long story) but it was YEARS ago and they did make it right.

I have a new truck and any work will be done there. They are large enough and I assume by the volume of vehicles that go through there they are somewhat competent. Sheehy Ford in Marlow Heights use to be a REALLY good place, but I believe they have gone to crap (service) from what I understand...

I will go to Waldorf Ford unless I start hearing horror stories from recent visits.

In waldorf or near by. Are they trustworthy for working on cars? thanks.

Few years back I had my Explorer serviced there for a full tune up. They sprayed battery terminal corrosion preventative right over the corrosion. I asked how come they didn't clean and remove the terminal and the response I got was that it was stuck. Never will go back again. I take my Fords to Sheehy as I know a techncian there. Outta the way but the work I have had done was top notch.

Don't get me started on Waldorf Ford service dept... I don't let anyone touch my car or truck unless the work is recall or something way out of my scope.

I have a '95 Mustang GT and it has had 3 recalls, 1) hood separation 2) emergency brake 3) radiator fan relay.

I took the car to them for the hood sep. I said no rush, it's my toy and rarely driven. They commented on how nice/clean it was. I go back 2 days later to pick it up and everything under the hood was covered in fiberglass dust! My engine is a spotless 331 stroker and when I saw that I was a little p*ssed. They brought it back in and blew most they could out. I ended up cleaning the rest out myself.

When I brought it in for the e-brake. I said the same thing, no rush. Again they said my car was imaculate. I pick up the car, go to put on my seatbelt, and the latches were gone! Apparently, when Johnny wanna-be mechanic put the center console back in he neglected to pull the seatbelt latches out from underneath. So, the car had to back in and get pulled apart and I had to pick it up the next day.

For the the fan relay, when they were done installing the new relay, it was zip-tied on and hitting the water pump pully bolts! I said, don't touch it, I'll fix it my self!
