Ford Dealerships

A while ago there was a post about one of the dealerships offering good amounts for trade-ins and just marking up the prices, I was wondering which dealership that was so that I could avoid it, I am currently looking for an F-150, Any suggestion (all the ones in the classifieds are pretty old and I am looking for an 07)

It was Leonardtown Ford.

Any dealership that will give you a large amount for a trade "even if you have to push it on to the lot" is making the money up somewhere in the deal.

I bought my last car from Hunt Ford in La Plata. They're the only Ford dealer in the area not owned by the same group.

All dealerships do this. They just disguise it differently.

Yeah, but I've noticed that dealers who have these "guaranteed $4000 trade for your son's old matchbox car" ads tend to have exhorbinantly higher prices. I looked at Leonardtown Fords ads when I bought the car I have now (had a buyer for my old one, trade non-issue) and continued looking elsewhere.

It's a game, they prey on rubes who think they are going to "steal" a great deal. Dealerships do not lose money on cars. If the deal sounds too good to be true it is.

What you looking to spend, what specs you looking for...

I currently own a F150...

I just bought a 07 F150 from Hunt Ford in Laplata about a month and a half ago...got one of the best deals I have ever got! See Melissa Baker..Tell her Stew sent you. They bent over backward for me. This is the 2nd Truck (F150) I have bought there. Leonardtown, Waldorf, even the "old" Aldridge would not "deal" with me. Hunt Ford, is a great place to do business...

I've bought 3 different vehicles from Hunt Ford over the past 10 years (Ranger, Mustang and F-150). I have always received a great deal. They are very nice people to deal with.

As was said before, they are the only Ford dealer in Southern Maryland not part of Waldorf.

The bottom line is, if you buy an extended warranty, you need to make damn sure it's really from the manufacturer.

My god I actually agree with patch......

I personally agree with purchasing an extended warranty and have them on both of my vehicles. But only with the afore mentioned consideration and you must know what you are buying.

Buying a car is nothing more than a shell game. Everyone knows it so I don't feel bad when someone says " So and So ripped me off".
"So & So" did not hold a gun to your head and force you to buy it. You did not do your research or look at what you are signing.
The problem with most car purchases is that people buy a payment not a car.

"An educated consumer is the BEST customer."

Just my opinion....

I did notice all those hunting pics up in that office. They're a little hard to miss! :lmao:
