U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett sentenced Chanel Holland, age 36, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, today to a year and a day in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for obstructing an official proceeding. The charges were a result of an investigation showing that Holland provided information regarding law enforcement activity, including sealed indictments and investigative information, to the target of a drug trafficking investigation. At the time, Holland was employed as the Human Resource Administrator in the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Department.
