Former minister convicted of rape, sexual assault
" LIVINGSTON, Mont. (AP) -- A former minister at the Livingston Church of God was convicted Tuesday of rape and three counts of sexual assault against two sisters.
Terrence R. Passmore, 49, was convicted of raping and sexually assaulting an 11-year-old church member in 1998. A District Court jury also found him guilty of two counts of sexually assaulting her older sister, who was 14 at the time.
Prosecutors said the abuse occurred on church property and on church swimming trips.
Passmore was acquitted on several charges - one count of sexual assault against the 14-year-old, a sexual assault charge related to the 11-year-old and all charges connected to a third girl.
He was released on a $35,000 bail, and will be allowed to travel to Virginia to settle personal business. A sentencing date has not been set."
