Help "Invisible Dogs"
All, here is our weekly plea for foster homes and I'm attaching some pictures with what is known...
Zoe - 2 yr old pure bred female (spayed) boxer - has some health issues (possible liver shunt) currently being managed with diet (I will know more after I speak to the vet). She shares her home with another dog (Winston also pictured here) and 2 young children. She is house trained and other than her problems right now is a wonderful dog. (I will be meeting her this Saturday).
Winston - 8 yr old pure bred Bull Mastiff - great with kids and other dogs, biggest problem? His age and size - personally I think they make wonderful pets and senior dogs give so much and ask for so little....
Zoe and Winston are currently with their owner but unfortunately the economic relief isn't hitting quickly enough and they can't afford to give these two wonderful dogs what they need much longer.
Buddy - 1-2 yr old Boxer/Rottie (?) mix - not neutered. From good samaritan: "Very affectionate and handsome; obviously trained (responds to my whistle to come and sharp "Hey"), sits, shakes, somewhat stays. Picked him up trotting along side the road; not been out long. Very good shape - obviously taken care of in that respect; not neutered. Shies away from men (big surprise) but not totally unwilling (stretches) to smell and check out. He has been staying w/ 2 females - one older; gets along very well with both and plays gangbusters with my 1-year old so guessing he's not very old himself. Non-aggressive, just curious about other males; really no trouble to control - does get under foot and is a bit hyper (probably because of his age and perhaps lack of attention by previous owners) but listens to scolding. Not leash trained and very strong but will respond to jerks to control him. I can walk him off leash and he doesn't run away (maybe he knows he's hooked into a good situation!). He would be a great and loyal companion. "
