Found a nice dog right in the middle of Bushwood Road this morning. No collar/tags. Call 301-769-4075 and describe if you have lost one.

You may want to give a discription of the breed. I'm sure there are tons of dogs in the Bushwood area.

I was told by shelters and rescues to not identify the dog by breed and gender. If it's a popular dog anybody could call and claim it. I saw a similar dog about 5-6 months ago one morning run back into the woods in the same area. Could be from Long View or home off 238 somewhere.

Everytime there is a lost dog in this area I panic. I'm still not used to the dogs being compleetly unable to break free.

I could see not giving out both breed and gender, but breed only would help. What if someone didn't realize their dog broke out or something? Just a thought.

Do the math. This is probably the most popular breed of dog in the area. If it was some mix or commonly lost beagle I would probably put that. They are also easy to describe because of their "one" color.

Does this mean you can still foster the other chaptico beagle or are you full now until the new dog's owner is found?

That is great you can still foster if they catch him, I have 6 dogs and a cat! I prefer not to have any more right now unless they are emergencies! I just know that many nice dogs are never reclaimed by their owners....hence my collection.

...am I really that stupid that I don't know the only-comes-in-one-color most popular dog breed in the area? Oh and I neither live in Bushwood nor have I lost a dog.

Well I must be extra stupid cause I can't figure it out either and I live in the Bushwood area. Guess I will find out tonight when I get home if my dogs are lost or not.

Which means Tipsy could have said it was a lab, and the owner could have IDed the dog by sex and color.

Either way, hope the dog gets claimed.

I was confused by tipsy saying it was a popular breed in THAT area and it was one color... If it is a black lab, I was stating that they come in OTHER colors and coat types. I also hope that the owner is found!
