Posted an ad in classifieds but wanted to try to get more exposure on this. Found a nearly all tan shepherd mix, neutered male dog this morning at the Great Mills Rd McDonald's; has collar and tags but nothing with owner information on it. He's a very nice dog but we have 2 dogs already and 2 small children so can't keep him around for long. Please call me @ 301-994-0929 if you're his owner or someone who might know his owner. TIA!

The tag should have the name of the place that gave the Rabie Shot on it. Just call the place, and give them the tag number, and they will check on their Computer. I hope he has been reunited with his Humans.

Yes it was a rabies tag so contacted the clinic for owner info; the phone number was no longer in service and the owner didn't reside at the physical address on file. Rechecked the tags and found that one of the tags was a county registration, so contacted Treasurer's office and FORTUNATELY they had a good number on file and I was able to return him to his owner. I love happy endings!!

You'd be surprized at what lengths people on these forums have gone to in regards to reuniting pets and the people owned by them. There are a LOT of great pet people here, newbie (J/K!!)
Sorry I missed you a couple days ago!

That is great to know...I always worry about my 2 cats cuz they are indoor, front declawed, never been outside...I have them chipped and tagged...sounds terrible but they are the most spoiled kitties in the world!..my 2 dogs were never an issue...they always stayed on the property when let out...I love my poopies and kitties!...oh, and of course, my husband and children, too!:lmao:

Sorry I missed you, too...be back again soon...your store is awesome!
