Found dog, my front step, Chancellors Run, 15 min,

Power with Control
He was out on my front step, right on Chancellors Run, when I went to walk my dog. He's young, and wet and scared. Hes sheltering on my back porch right now, he's got a little kibble, and water, and I've rigged a crate as a shelter for him.

I live just south of the park, right near Rutherford BLVD. Pics below. Email to contact is billsrt4@md.metrocast.net

I'm heading out to put up flyers around the area, and figured this needed a bump. If you know folks around the Rutherford drive area, please, give them a call and ask, even if they dont own a dog, maybe a neighbor who is has stopped by.

Are you serious? Then I look like Mary Poppins! :diva: Looks like a shepherd mix.

I agree with that. The shepherd mix part. Definitely has that look to him.

The pup has a collar. Hopefully his family is out looking for him.

Kudos for rescuing him. He probably got out and lost his way home - with the ice muting the familiar smells and sights.

Awww, he looks like he misses his family in that first pic. I hope they're out looking for him and that you can reunite them soon. So nice of you to take him in. He's a cutie!

On a side note, doesn't it seem like there are so many lost dog threads lately? Breaks my heart every time I read one of those threads.

Has he been fixed? He looks like the father to the puppies my daughter's dog just birthed night before last........she took in a stray and found out about the 8 puppies a couple of weeks later after taking her to the vets...LOL, save one, save 9 ...LOL!!!!
Oh, she lives on Chancellars run...that is why I ask....

:faint: I guess your daughter found that dog at the right time. Better they are safe, warm and are able to get good homes than be living out in this weather just being a day old. kudos to your daughter!

For the OP of this thread, thank you for taking this guy in, he looks like he was quite happy to find a place to get a good day/night sleep.

Why, because it's a 'big' dog? That's funny. I do like your nieces name for it though, too cute

The mother dog is a sweet heart for sure, my daughter has an 8 month old son and 2 cats in the houes as well, and she is just as friendly as can be with everyone, baby/cats/etc.....the puppies are super cute, she is looking for homes for them....

She did not expect puppies when she took the dog in, it was a surprise to all of us....but my daughter will see to it that they are well taken care of and go to very good, loving homes...

Oh, that would be funny to see the cats around the puppies when they start moving around. They were probably like what the heck when the baby came home and now this. Poor poor kitties. Post pictures when you can, maybe you will get some takers off the boards for the puppies.
