:howdy: Is anyone missing a medium yellow lab near Wilkerson Drive? Also if anyone's missing a male brown puppy with a pink nose and floppy ears near Aquasco, let me know. I recall its a purebreed, jut can't remember the name of the breed.
Thanks!

Yes that's the one!!! I saw one lady slow down as it was running up the road :jameo: :jameo: and I thought she was getting it. Then I went into the store and came out and this time I see a different lady there and she had stopped. Not only that but this older lady apparently went home and got some dog food and a leash. She looked frustrated so I walked across the parking lot over by the road and asked her if she needed some help.

She pointed to the puppy on the side of the road under all the evergreen looking bushes, she couldn't reach him but put food down and the puppy was eating. We crossed the road and on the side of the road she held up some limbs for me and I crawled around and was able to reach in, pet the puppy then try to pull his legs. I pulled him about a food and I let go, and it rolled on its belly. I knew then it was friendly and wouldn't bite. I carried the large puppy across 381 to the lady's car. She said she was going to go around looking for the owner of the puppy. All was safe!!

Only problem was in crawling around on the ground in what I thought had been water soaking in to my jeans on my knees, was really ALPO gravy. :faint: I tried to wipe it with the one napkin in my truck and it just smeared it all over, also I learned its not like water... Alpo gravey on your knees takes forever to dry on its own  I continued all my errands Saturday with Alpo on my knees

I was wondering if the lady was able to find it a home after all that and worried that maybe the lady wasn't able to locate the owners, so I was going to give a really good description of the lady and the car that had the dog and let them know the dog was rescued. She lives really close by. It was a pretty dog, appeared purebred, about 3 months old - about 25-30lbs and male, very friendly.

Thats funny about the alpo! sorry about that.

My best friend, said she stopped also, she has my son with her, so she really couldnt get out and do much. She called me to tell me that there was a puppy running around in the road at IGA and to call animal control or SOMETHING. I knew what the something was... so I got in my truck and rode up and down 381 looking for this puppy. I called her ask where exactly the puppy was when she saw it, thats when she told me that a lady was following the dog on 381 with her hazards on and finally tried to corner the puppy, so my friend pulled over and gave the lady a can of food. She said that the puppy was directly across the street under those big trees. I knew my friend felt bad, because she always tries to help (but she knew I would have a cow if she left my son in the truck). Thankfully the lady took the dog and hopefully the owners will come forward, if they dont let me know.

With the yellow lab, i dont know anything about that one.

Yesterday a black lab darted out right in front of me in front of bowen estates. I pulled in and got a hold of the the dog, he had a PG county rabies tag and by chance I called the number and could not beleive that someone actually answered. Come to find out the dog lived in the next neighborhood over (boundary creek), I called the lady and told her that I had her dog and we were in bowen estates and she told me to let the dog run, he will come home. I told her she was crazy and no i wont let him run (i would have put him in my truck, but he was soaking wet (probably from the creek), I told her he would get killed on woodville. Finally she came and got him, I dont understand people.

Wow, I bet its the same folks that let their other dogs run. Coming home from all the errands in my alpo pants, two german shepard mixes came darting out into the road and were soaking wet from the creek, I thought they were deer and was worried about them because of the heat but obviously they found water  BTW, does your best friend drive a red truck? That was the lady that had slowed down and was backing up traffic behind the dog. Then it was in the trees and I had to crawl in to get it to hand it to the lady that said she'd been trying to get the dog, she baited it, had gotten the puppy to come back to eat the food but couldn't get down to get it and was frustrated.
