Found Dog

Found small hound mix in Prince Frederick off Lottie Fowler Road. This dog has been around for a week or so now and keeps returning. He is an unfixed dog that is young probably around a year old and is mostly white with a brown patch on his eye and a few small dalmation like spots all over his side. Very, very friendly. Also both ears are brown. Please email me if you know who's dog this is or if it is yours. Thanks! (We are keeping him over night but I am letting him out during the day and he keeps returning)

Maybe take him to a vet and see if he has been chipped? I hate to think of an un-fixed dog running around..........

Also, putting in a couple of calls to vet offices and the tri-county shelter may result in you finding the dog's owner. Owners often post notices about lost pets and place calls to the shelter inquiring about their pet and leaving contact information. I hope that made sense! <- very sleepy

Thanks we are going to be getting him scanned today. He did well in the house last night with no accidents, but it makes me wonder because he has been running around our neighborhood for at least a week now, I hope he was not dropped off. I have a feeling that is the case though.

You're probably right. Most rescue dogs (even shelter dogs) are spayed/neutered.

Well..... No chip and the dog just sits out my door and cries if I don't let him in. So I guess we will try and find him a new home, if anyone is interested. He is a nice boy, not fixed and probably around a year. Basic manners and is house broken. Small to med. size about 35 pounds, but could def. put on a few and be okay. Please PM me if anyone is interested. I would like to see him go to a nice home

Pretty pup! When you had him scanned, did you take him to Prince Frederick Animal Hospital? Just an idea that maybe they might recognize him.

He is comfy- but I really don't need another dog. He is so sweet though and we had him scanned up at Dunkirk Animal Hosp. I don't want to leave him in my house alone during the day, so we let him out and every evening he is back waiting to go in. I really hope that someone will get him b/c I would like to see him go to a good home.
