Friend found a female terrier of some kind..soo skinny poor girl. Thinks she may have recently had puppies (they couldn't find any nearby) she's called rescues, they all seem to be full. Anyone recognize this pup or know of any openings? I feel badly for the poor thing. Here's the info she put in the classifieds, and a pic

:bawl: poor girl - she looks a lot like my girlie but where the brown is... she's tan. My girlie was found in the same starving condition.

If she isn't claimed, I have that gut feeling she'd make somebody a great pet.

She's a cutie! Please keep us up to date on whether her owner comes forward. She looks like she's part rat or jack russell. Any other details about her? Is she housetrained? Seem friendly or timid?

I was thinking a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix like mine. Her markings are almost exactly like my pups - just different colors. You can google Jack Chi to see some pictures and see what you think.

I asked myself, and all she said was the pup will let you pet her, but doesn't seem to come willingly to anyone. Not sure about housetraining. Id love to take her myself, but im familiar with jrt and I want no part of that madness :killingme too energetic for me. I think she said she found a foster, but im gonna see what's up with her. I just feel so sad for her..she's soo skinny

She came out of the woods between Lexington Park Elementary school and the townhouses on Shangra la Dr.

She looks a lot like my rattie, except brown rather than black. I'd love to see some pictures of her in profile or from an angle closer to the ground. Hard to tell much from such an upper angle.

I am the one who has the dog. She came out of the woods between Lex Pk Elem school and the shangra la townhouses. She is very friendly. She has warmed up to my parents (they were the ones keeping her over the weekend). She has started to perk up and wags her tail some now. She will whine if she is in the crate and needs to go out. We have not let her run around the house so not 100% sure on whether she is house trained or not. I took her to the vet to see if she had a chip, she doesnt. They told me to give it until next monday to find the owner. If they are not found by then I can adopt her out. I have one person willing to foster her until monday. I also have two people interested in adopting her.

If all else fails, I can take her for a week, maybe even more. Does she get along with other Dog/Cats? I feel so bad for her, and would be able to fatten her up on GOOD Dog Food from Pepper's Pet Pantry. Let me know if I can help you.!! I leave for Florida on the 26th, but am willing to help out temporarily.

That's very nice of you. I wanted to offer the same thing but I know I'll get attached. Plus, I'm not in a good position to take on another pet (at the moment).

Her sad little photo just reminds me so much of my pup and she really is the best dog I've ever had. I know some cringe at the thought of a JRT (mixed or not) but I have a kitten we adopted 3 months ago that is worse than any JRT I've ever had. She gets into EVERYTHING... and I mean EVERYTHING... she had to be lured out of my heating ducts a few weeks ago after she pawed off the floor register and climbed inside. My JRT loves to play ball and that is what I do to drain some of her high energy. I wish our cat played ball. :ohwell:

stray JRT

Do you still have this girl? We have been looking for a JRT for about two months...the right one hasn't come along yet...cruising through forums to see if there were any leads. PM me if she still needs a home. Thanks
