Anyone missing this fella? He's too well cared for to be a stray. PM me if he's yours or you know where he belongs.

My neighbor has 3 of those dogs. A mom and 2 of her pups, although they're about 2 years old now. That one looks too young to be one of his.
What part of Lusby?

As close as we are to them, I'm amazed it wasn't their dog. But it sounds like she's willing to take him in if the owners don't show up!

OWNERS HAVE BEEN FOUND and he's back with them now!

Awesome.. Did you suggest they "update" their microchip information?

The microchip companies found out after Katrina that from 60-80% (wish I could remember the exact number) of microchips were never registered which is why some of the microchip companies have decided to work so closely w/rescues in both costs and programs they offer. "Most" chips can be traced back to the clinic/rescue/whoever that did the chipping, but as Katrina proved, once those records are lost at that place, they can't track the chips any further since client records were lost.

I am guilty of that myself, my personal dogs aren't microchipped (dumb, dumb, dumb), but the one dog that I did have done, I never did register her....

All our rescue dogs that come through are now being microchipped and I register them at that time.

(Now if the companies would make their online processes friendlier.)

How do you register your dogs? Both my pups are microchipped and when it was done, the vet wrote down the information (our name, address, phone number, etc.) but is there something I need to do to make sure they are actually registered?
