Found & Needs Rescue/Foster

Hubby's work found a dog (still puppy) and they are looking for someone to rescue it. They cleaned it up and are going to see about having a vet stop by to give it its shots, but they cannot keep it and are looking to see if they can find a rescue/foster that can take him.

They are pretty sure he was dumped and possibly abused. He was covered in ticks. :frown: Pics and description below. She has had the dog since Saturday morning. This is just a "weekend" place for them. They actually live in Alexandria. She has called all over. Calvert Humane Society said they were full and couldn't help.

Any other ideas?

Male, terrier, black face with "mustache", around 3 - 6 months old. Potty trained.

Awww..no chip?

This is a bad time with Thanksgiving so close. Maybe one of the rescues on here will see him...but they work on a "foster home" basis and most are over full.

He's adorable!

The rescue we had taken in has gone back home to her momma. The family is going to work on helping out with care so she can keep her!!!!

We may be able to foster this little guy for a while.

This guy is still available. He has been fully vetted and has all shots. He is FREE to a good home!!!

My fenced dog area is a mud pit right now. I would foster if a local rescue would take over when there is room. What's the size/weight?

Just got a PM from a forumite who said they would take him. :yahoo: Will post an update when/if I hear something more. Thanks again everyone for helping out! The person who found him says he is just good as gold, and though she would love to keep him, her older dog just won't accept him.

I'm meeting the finder shortly and then will take to meet REmax's current pup....

Everyone keep your fingers crossed that they will get along!
