On Sunday June 12 while at John V. Baggett Park at Laurel Grove in Mechanicsville I found a child's teddy bear. It appears to be a well love bear and I am sure the child who lost it is missing it! The bear is brown with a white t-shirt on and some band-aids on it, it also has a hospital type of bracelet on it's leg with a name on it. If this is your child's bear please e-mail me with the name on the bracelet, I would love to get this stuffed animal back to it's child.

My toddler has a bunny that he can't sleep without so I hope this poor parent and child can find this bear. I might take pictures that's not a bad idea. It's nice to see a few people here thing it was a nice thing to do because others on the forums seem to think I should have left it there even though it had been there most of the day and was going to be rained on that evening. Oh well you can't win them all and you certainly can't please everyone.

You definitely did a good thing!!! It may help to post some signs at the park (if you didn't already) since they may go back there looking. Anyone who has children can relate to one losing their favorite "buddy"!!! I really hope you find the bear's best buddy!!!

Saving the bear from the rain was a great thing to do :yahoo: I remember when I was little I had a stuffed bunny that I absolutely could not live without. Forgot it at a hotel once while we were traveling and my parents actually backtracked for an hour to go retrieve him! I still have that bunny and am looking forward to sharing him with my son.

Putting signs up at the park sounds like a good idea. Most of my friends who have kids old enough to enjoy playing at a park tend to frequent the same park.
