Found : young female beagle

She has a collar and no tags, she is very sweet & friendly, and is sure to belong to someone.

She was found close to intersection of Point Lookout Rd. / Rte. 5 and Beachville Rd. I hope to find her owners, or someone that would kindly take her in permanently / semi-permanently, as I cannot keep her, though I wish I could.

I will check back in here to see if anyone responds.

Thanks!

Sounds similar to how I found my Beagle. I reported her found and nobody claimed her. No tags to me means that she was left or the owner doesn't deserve to get her back. TAGS serve a purpose. If they jingle then you can buy silencers.

A pic would be nice.... Size coloring etc.

PM Crabcake... She might be interested in a suitable companion for hers.

Try the man at the house that is the driveway right before the turn onto Woodscroft RD. It's the place where the man sells corn on the side of the road. He has a female beagle that used to run down to my place all the time. It's not to far from where you say the dog was found so it might be worth a try. Does it look like the dog recently had puppies?

I did post at both post offices, and Dysons lumber, and Raleys. Actually, my mother visiting from NJ is the one that picked her up, and that was the first thing she said, is that it looks like it could be pregnant, or recently had puppies. (enlarged teets) I will check with that man, THANK you so very much! If no luck, I will PM crabcake. Thanks again for the responses.

I would have definitely considered keeping her, but I have 2 shelties already, and 2 cats, unfortunately keeping her is out of the question, or I'd be in the *doghouse*. :)

That particular dog had puppies about 6 months ago. I have one. His dog is not pregnant again and hasn't had any more puppies since then. I did hear she was "in heat" again so anything can happen.:lmao:

Have you located the owner yet? Any updates.

I did not locate the owner, I visited with the woman who lives in that house, and she has 2 beagles, both were accounted for. The dog stayed the weekend with the animal control guy, (not sure of his name) as someone else had been keeping her and she will hopefully be adopted. We will be notified if she is not adopted before she is euthanized, and we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Someone should run down and adopt her, she's a cutie.
