BAGHDAD -- - The number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq edged closer to the milestone figure of 4,000 dead today as a roadside bomb claimed the lives of three soldiers.

The bomb blew up the U.S. soldiers' vehicle and killed two Iraqis in northwestern Baghdad, the military said in a press release. The military also reported that indirect fire, either a rocket or mortar, killed a U.S. soldier and wounded four others south of Baghdad on Friday.

You are a moron forestal. You assume we (the average person) does not give a damn about another soldier who dies to protect our freedoms. With your very words, you are admitting the war in Iraq is protecting those freedoms which you have. How dare you group society at large into a group who cares not one bit about those soldiers deaths. I have known and watched soldiers die and dont you think for one second I don't remember them every day of this life i am blessed to retain.

The war in Iraq is protecting our freedom? Really?

Who in Iraq is threating our freedom?

Maybe it's those WMD's we've never been able to find.

The war in Iraq is protecting Halliburton's, KBR's, and Blackwater's bottom line. That's about it.

Judging from the filth you post on a consistant basis check this out from the Clinton News Network:

White House: Bin Laden wanted Iraq as a new base - CNN.com

How about this:
Osama bin Laden: Iraq is a 'Perfect Base'

Or this:
Purported bin Laden message: Iraq is 'perfect base' (Democrats, RETREAT!!!)

this might be of interest:
In Iraq, a clear-cut bin Laden-Zarqawi alliance | csmonitor.com

There are numerous other facts which can't be discussed here due to information that can't be consumed by the general public. Just in case yo uare thinking it's a vast right wing coverup to not release CLASSIFIED information to YOU, it's against the law to not reveal information in order to "cover up" information. Here is the Executive order (EO 13292) prohibiting the "covering up" of classified information:
Bush Executive Order 13292 on Classified National Security Information

Here is the USC for disclosure of classified information:
US CODE: Title 18,798. Disclosure of classified information

Oh yeah, a little document (Executive order 12949) signed by Bubba Clinton authorizes wire taps (FISA) without court orders. I have put a link in her for you to educate yourself:
Executive Order 12949

Yes, the administration might have been wrong about WMDs but that still does not excuse some whacko that wants to use Iraq as a base to launch further attacks on us. Should we stand by and let OBL attempt to destroy Isreal?

Let me know if you want anymore Intel from our "enemy" as to what they plan to do...

Oh, so essentially what you're saying is that George Bush's foolish war has made Iraq the base Al Qaeda is looking for. There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq before we went in.

Great job you and your Republican ilk are doing, creating these self fulfilling prophesies that require our soldiers to risk their lives.

The guard, army, and marines have never been at a worse state of readiness than they are now. That's what you get with Republicans running the show.

Vote for Insane McCain and you'll get a needless war with Iran, and a continuation of the destruction of our military, their families, our freedome, our economy, and our future.

Inbreader, I don't have the time to expose all your lies, but here's one for you: Clinton didn't sign any laws bypassing FISA... I think the rest folks here can look at this lie of yours and correlate its veracity with the rest of your spew...

Levin is referring to Clinton’s 2/9/95 executive order and his claim is totally false. First, FISA didn’t cover physical searches at the time, so the executive order did not, and could not, “bypass FISA.” Second, unlike the secret Bush administration program, Clinton’s public executive order did not apply to U.S. persons. If Bush’s program didn’t apply to U.S. persons there would be no controversy at all.
But Levin doesn’t have to read Think Progress to figure this out. He can read his own right-wing magazine. Here’s the National Review’s Byron York five days ago:
In the argument that has emerged over warrantless surveillance, there have been a number of overstatements. Some people, for example, have said that Bill Clinton signed an executive order authorizing such surveillance; he did not.
One clarification: when someone says something that’s not true, it’s not an overstatement, it’s a lie.

So you have unequivocal data to prove Al Qeada was not in Iraq before the invasion? They were not there in the 90s when your hero was in the office banging interns? You are some sort of military expert to claim the military is in a worse state of readiness? Needless war with Iran? Since you claim to be an expert in such arenas as military readiness, politics, et al, what stratigic impact would Iran attacking Isreal be for the United States? I don't subscribe to your wrong wing theory of we created our own enemy.

I never once claimed the FISA Executive Order was for U.S. persons. By you saying that it was a "law" clearly indicates you have no idea what an Executive Order is in the first place. Am I to believe you are so naive that you actually think U.S. persons are not collected on with proper justification? I will concede there is, in my opinion, there is no need for warrantless wire tapping. There is a checks and balance in place called the FISA court. There should be protections for companies that provided such information. You wrong wingers just want to open the gates for tort lawyers to redistribute wealth by going after said companies.

Happy Easter!

What we'd get with an all Democratic administration is another FDR, trying to pack the Supreme Court to get legislation as law the Socialists can't get legislated. We'd get the same government we have in Maryland, an out of control Legislature and Governor (who by the way, just got his pee-pee whacked for illegally firing a Police Chief as mayor).

Just how did Kennedy's war make us safer? How did Johnson's war make us safer? How did Clinton's inaction make us safer? How did Carter's inaction make us safer?

Read and get an education Forestool. But first, get laid, your angst is getting the better of you.

Jesus, you can't even spell it correctly. No wonder you have so much trouble understanding the concept. But perhaps that's how they do things in your world - similar to the real thing, but not quite right.

Hey, if I thought we'd get another FDR for president I'd be going door to door to drum up support. FDR saved this country and brought it out of some of the worst times it's ever seen.

All of his good work is steadily being undone: poverty is creeping back, Wall Street is getting government handouts for their stupidity, the Paris Hiltons are collecting this nations wealth and giving little in return, etc.

I wonder if you're supporting my idea that the war in Iraq isn't making us any safer, or protecting our freedom.

Happy Easter!

Hey, I only know what the Senate Select Intelligence Committee puts out in their reports.....

The fact that UBL was a religious fanatic and Saddam Hussein was a Secular tyrant probably tells you all your common sense needs to know about their relationship: it didn't exist.
