Free Calvert County Rabies Clinics

Calvert County pet owners can take advantage of free rabies clinics during the month of April to have their pets protected with the three-year rabies inoculation. The free clinics will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the following times and locations:

· April 7, North Beach Volunteer Fire Department, 8536 Bayside Road
· April 20, Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, 450 Solomons Island Road
· April 28, Solomons Volunteer Fire Department, 13150 H.G. Trueman Road

Pet owners should bring proof of prior vaccination, and all cats, dogs and ferrets should be in a carrier or on a leash. Calvert County pet licenses will also be available for purchase. The cost is $7 for spayed/neutered pets and $20 for non-spayed and non-neutered pets.

The clinic is made possible by the volunteers from the Chesapeake SPCA in conjunction with the Calvert County Health Department and the Calvert County Animal Control Unit.
