The St. Mary’s County Health Department offers free colon cancer screenings to County residents who are uninsured or under insured. Colon cancer is a leading cause of deaths in the U.S. Screening tests can detect polyps or early stages of cancer when it is easiest to treat, thereby, saving lives.
