Protect the ones you love! Maryland law requires all dogs, cats, and ferrets to be vaccinated for rabies. Bring your pet to a free rabies clinic on Sunday, July 24, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad located at 6120 Port Tobacco Road. The clinic is sponsored by the volunteers of the Charles County Animal Response Team, Charles County Animal Control, and the Charles County Health Department.

Dog licenses will also be available. The fee for a dog license is $2 if your animal is altered; $15 is your animal is not altered.

All dogs must be leashed. All cats and ferrets must be contained in a carrier.

For more information about the free clinic, contact the Charles County Department of Emergency Services at 301-609-3425 or send an e-mail message to Jennifer Bartnick at BartnicJ(at)CharlesCounty.org. Citizens with special needs may contact the Maryland Relay Service at 711, or Relay Service TDD: 800-735-2258.
