DALLAS, Texas (AP) -- After 18 months sleeping on sidewalks and in shelters, Mel Cornelison has a job, and soon might have a place of his own. And he owes it all to voice mail.

That's a great story. I had heard that not having a phone number or address was one of the difficulties in homeless people getting jobs. I wonder if they can use a shelter as their home address as well.

I might have to look into this and see if there's a similar program in DC I can donate to.
