There’s a line in the first Avengers movie where Loki claims that humans CRAVE subjugation. That they’d rather be ruled than suffer the illusion of freedom.

To which many of us said, Loki, you need to get out more. People throughout history have shown they would do ANYTHING to be free.

But there are definitely those out there. They’ve been infantilized to NEED someone to parent them - for life.

When I was in that cult, one of their frequently expressed problems was, lack of maturity and leadership among the young men. And I grew weary of telling them the plain, obvious reason. They were keeping them children by running their lives and forcing dependency.

The same is true in our nation. Keep them dependent and you’ll have a nation of immature adults.
