Freshwater fishing report 6/12

I got me a 11 fish today in the rain. I had to feed my addiction after finding a few reasons not to go fishing earlier in the week. The rain didn't seem to bother the fish any. A couple of the bluegill went 9+ inches. These are real chunky fish that fight with an attitude. I wish bass fought as hard.

Nice fish. I enoy panfishing. My favorite target. I have not been out much this season though. Between work and home projects I just haven't had the time. My middle son has and has had some success with catching a few good fish.

I've never targeted freshwater stripers. Those look like some quality fish your son caught.

Liberty and Piney Run both have a strong striper population. Check them out sometime.

Has anyone been out fishing lately? I am finishing up a few projects and to do some fishing in a week or so.

I just got back in town. I did some saltwater fishing before I left. I got a few of the usual suspects on bloodworms over on the Patuxent.

I may try going after freshwater fish this week. Let us know how you do.
