Does anyone around here care? Seems like the only people who still talk about the Tiki Bar live up near the DC area. I know one of my co-workers used to ask me all the time about opening day.

We've lived here almost 25 years and have never gone but then again, neither my husband nor I are drinkers. Plus who'd want to deal with all the traffic??? I avoid Solomons like the plague on opening weekend.

Didn't one year we got people to believe that the bridge was closed and they were calling the sheriff's department to confirm?

Just heard via radio that St. Mary's county police have the Solomons bridge closed and are forcing patrons to turn-around. :eek: Water levels are rising at a rapid rate. Not sure when the bridge will re-open...stay tuned...

Remember that until a few months ago registration renewal was put on hold because the MVA offices were closed (although that didn't stop anyone from renewing online) so people didn't have to renew when the tags expired.

Now, having said that, it didn't stop some Calvert Deputies stopping and impounding cars with expired tags.
