Really what schools are good in Lexington Park? What about lexington Park Elem. is that a good school. I need a school that does pre-k. I cant afford preschool.

My son attended Carver for 2 years (Pre-K and K) prior to transferring to the Charter School. Absolutely loved it, had no problems. Great teachers and support staff. My best piece of advice, visit the school and talk to parents whose children currently attend the school.

You'll need to qualify to get your child in Pre-k. Just because you want him/her to go @ 4 is not an automatic thing yanno.

True, kids have to be tested. And heck if you do get accepted, the spots fill quickly so take it where you can get it. There is almost always a waiting list at all of the schools in the county.

My daughter went to Greenview Knolls for K and I had no problems with the school. The teachers and staff were very friendly. Now I only wish the Charter school had Pre-K so both the kids could go to school together next year.

Lexington Park Elementry is bad

I don't think it is the school as much as some of the parents not doing their job with the kids at home. My son has went there since Pre-K and hasn't had one problem. I even drove him every day for a year rather than sending him to Park Hall when we moved.

I agree but those kids who's parents don't do any home training are influences on your child as well. My oldest is in kindergarten at Greenview. I adore his teacher and have had nothing but positive experiences with other school employees. I'm fairly involved and when I go to lunch with him and see the behavior of other kids in his class with an adult at the table I'm floored. Plus, the stories I hear about bad behavior I hear from him and like I said, he's only in kindergarten.

I hate to sound stuck up but I think demographics play a big part no matter how much you try at home. Kids are like little sponges and when they're exposed to bad behavior daily for several hours they're bound to pick some of it up.

We moved into the Hollywood district and I made the choice not to transfer him since I do like his teacher and the school itself but nexy year you better believe that he's going to Hollywood.

I feel you on that. There are some badass kids at that school and it is a little fashion show too. I think I like that school so much because I have gotten close to the teachers and administrators over the years. His teachers have also been good at creating more advanced plans for him and pushing him along. I did consider moving him, but he will be seperated with the STEM Academy next year.
