Amendment sponsor Rep. Bill Heath, R-Bremen, was slack-jawed when told after the vote that some adults seek the piercings.

"What? I've never seen such a thing," Heath said. "I, uh, I wouldn't approve of anyone doing it. I don't think that's an appropriate thing to be doing."

I agree with the original intent of the law, it is to prevent genital mutilation on children in the name of religion or culture, but whoever talked this idiot into adding piercings to the bill was adding their own religious or moral spin.

I wonder if anyone has their genitals pierced and would like to discuss why they would do something so stupid.

A tad bit judgemental don't ya think? You might be suprised to learn that several people you know have ornamented suzies. :wink:

When I was in college, taking a film class, I had to watch a documentary on the subject of piercings, tatooings and similar things.

Let's just say that it's a good thing it was a grad level class, because the mommies and daddies of a bunch of undergrads would've been screaming that such a thing would be shown to their precious darlings, while mom and dad were still paying for it.

Lemme just say, I can kinda understand why some people do it, but there's no way in hell it'd be me.

I had a friend who did body piercing in Ohio and they weren't allowed to do genitals of minors which is understandable but they weren't allowed to do tounge piercings on anyone underage either (even with a parental consent) because some law (or something) considered having your hands in the mouth of a minor (except for medical reasons) as being a sex act.
