Hello all,
I am new to the forum although not new to Southern Maryland. I've just moved to California, MD and was wondering where are some good nurseries in the area.
Thanks,
Erin

Where are my pants?
The Greenery is located right off of Mervell Dean road (in the old section of Hollywood just parallel to 235). At times they can be a little pricey, but I've found that their stuff is of a much better quality than that found at Lowes or Wentworth.

......
If you're looking for garden plants, i.e. tomatoes, etc. go to Zimmermans just North of Leonardtown on Rt. 5 left hand side. Can't beat the prices or the plants.

It's about a 40 minute drive but Homestead Gardens is worth the trip at least once. We went yesterday....just beautiful!

:yeahthat:

I also like the fact that they'll help people like me that have a brown thumb, and not a green one, pick the right plants and they'll also help you design your beds/landscaping. All for the low cost of a please and thank you. Can't go wrong there.

Happy Camper!
This Saturday (May 6th) the Loveville Produce Auction is having a "Spring Into Spring Home Auction" with smaller lots of plants, nursery stock, handmade crafts, lawn furniture, quilts, rugs and more (as their flyer says). You'd have to register for a buyer number and they only accept cash (I think) but you may be able to get some good wholesale deals.

They do really good there. It's always packed when they have an auction:yay:

Thanks for your suggestions. I don't think I'll be able to make it to the auction, as we're still getting things set up in our new house .... it's a process! :jameo:
