Garfield update

Well, this was an interesting vet visit to say the least! Garfield weighs in at a whopping 17.1 lbs. and he is around 2 yrs. old. He was tested for feline leukemia and feline aids and he was negative. Fecal results will be in in a couple of days. Dude has got the temper from HELL!!!! It goes well with his red hair! :lmao:

I was in the exam room while they had him back there drawing his blood and the whole hospital heard him yelling! I thought HE was the one drawing the blood instead of them! :faint: Turns out he was just pissed about being wrapped in a towel while they waited on the tests to complete. He never bit or scratched anybody which was a big relief! He didn't say two words to us on the way home and he headed straight for the food when he got here. I think Garfield is going to take a nice nap! I think I wanna join him! :faint:

I think she is officially the crazy cat woman of the forums. How many more cats you going to have mousebaby? I have 2 and that is enough plus the dog. I don't need anymore animals 3 is enough.

You know, I can't help but think he's somebody's pet. Cats will wander a bit every now and then. How long had he been hanging out at JB's?

That exactly what I was thinking. He was only there a day or so, by the looks of the thread. :frown:

Did the vet scan him for a microchip?

Yes she did scan him for a chip. Used two different scanners. We checked the boards there at the hospital and I checked the classifieds here. We saw nothing. His teeth are in good shape but he has a severe case of gingivitis that needs to be addressed. I would not keep this cat if someone came up and identified him and said he was their's. I am a fair person.

That's good. I just worry that there's an owner somewhere looking for him. I just know how cats can wander sometimes then go back home. Have you tried calling Tri-County or anywhere else?

I read the message board at Tri-county and he was not there so I posted a found. If someone is missing him hopefully they will see it.

If someone posts a sign around here...I will contact Mousebaby. In the meantime, I've only had one person contact me about the cat and the description does not match. It's a small area down here and I've never seen this cat before. I honestly think someone dumped him.

Thank you Mousebaby for taking him and taking such good care of him.

You're welcome, and it's not a problem! :huggy:
