Garmin Nuvi 650

Anyone else have the Garmin Nuvi 650 and having problems with it.
We had ours with us this weekend and it worked maybe 5 minutes of the 2 hour trip. On the way home it never once worked.

Here is what it is doing...
When you turn it on it say's updating software with a % sign. Then stops at 0% and loads maps. Then it never gets a satellite signal. The whole trip down there it was "Acquiring Satellite Signal" and the one time it did get signal it only lasted 3 minutes.

Anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

What is the deal with this. I have called garmin and been on hold for 40minutes. I am about to pull my hair out!

Edit- Yes I have done a master reset and it still won't track satellites.

In My Opinion
I have the 260, it never misses anything.
I can even put it in the center console and it tracks.

I was on hold for 1hr then finally got through and they walked me through the software update and all was good for about 3 minutes, then I shut it down and restarted it and would you know. Nothing worked!!! URGHHHH,,,

Ok so I called back and was on hold for 33 minutes this time and when I got through explained what was going on and then they asked me a few questions and told me to do a few things and still nothing so here is the end result!

They are sending me a RMA via email and I am shipping this unit back to them and they are mailing me a brand new one!

The problem is covered under warranty and being that it's less than a year old they are just going to replace this one with a new one!

Told ya - great company. Don't forget to register keep checking the forum. Save the Forum SEARCH page and always enter 650 to search. I've learned so much from that forum (hints, tricks, etc.).
