...Wisconsin ORDERS owner to raise price's or face law suit.

Yep.

Center City BP owner Raj Bhandari has been offering senior citizens a 2 cent per gallon price break and discount cards that let sports boosters pay 3 cents less per gallon.

Yep.

But the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says those deals violate Wisconsin's Unfair Sales Act, which requires stations to sell gas for about 9.2 percent more than the wholesale price.

Yep.

Consumer protection in Wisconsin is ordering prices raised.

Now, these kinds of things always interest me because of the story of how they reach theses heights of absurdity. I just imagine all the politics and manipulation that goes on to reach a point where the state pulls out it's heavy hand and orders a small business owner to not let seniors have a $.02 a gallon break or for sports boosters to save $.03.

Doesn't suprise me. IIRC, in MD, gas stations legally can't sell gas cheaper than they buy it for in order to protect small business. Places like Sheetz and WaWa hate that law.

Sheetz, Wawa and BJ's were having a price war. The mom and pop stations couldnt compete so they called in Maryland to regulate the price of Gasoline.

Maryland and Wisconsin both have the fact THEY ARE CRIMINALLY LIBERAL as a common denominator.
