Now I'll agree with this. However, the concept I don't get is...gumbo said:Sorry! But it's not natural for the male human species.
It's fact.. and if it was not we wouldn't be here, now would we.Esprix said:Well that's your opinion. Mine differs. Welcome to the world. It's a nice place to live, if we can all learn to get along somehow.

I believe it was where you told me to "shut up about my sexual preference." That includes the person I love, spend all my time with, moved to the east coast for, am buying a house with, have friends with, and am building a life with. Remember, the guy in the OP? We want to make friends here? You remember that?gumbo said:And were did I say that .![]()
And yet, homosexuality has been around for all of recorded history, and the human race survives. Wow! Nature in action!gumbo said:It's fact.. and if it was not we wouldn't be here, now would we.
I don't hate them.. I don't like anyone that insist upon and expects to be treated deferent and special because of their odd sexual preferenceBuddyLee said:Now I'll agree with this. However, the concept I don't get is...
If some people hate homosexual's so much, why not just let them be? Hey, it's not like they're going to reproduce. Someone always has to pick a fight though.
Yea but they didn't parade it or act like a race of people.Esprix said:And yet, homosexuality has been around for all of recorded history, and the human race survives. Wow! Nature in action!

OK.gumbo said:I don't hate them..

I agree. I have a few gay acquaintances and I don't treat them any different or special. I don't see them flaunting any gayness around at me either. I suppose it depends on the person, not on sexual orientation. Do you agree?I don't like anyone that insist upon and expects to being treated deferent and special because of their odd sexual preference
No one asked you to proclaim your love for your butt Buddie on here.Esprix said:I believe it was where you told me to "shut up about my sexual preference." There has to be something personally wrong though. Something has to get up under your skin.gumbo said:No one asked you to proclaim your love for you butt Buddie on here.
Like you didn't know it was going to get you attention.
The way I see it I'm feeding your insecurities.
Because if you didn't feel insecure about it ,you would feel the need to broadcast it.

Well, it doesn't really work like that. My folks were both straight and I turned out gay, and there are hundreds of gay fathers and lesbian mothers out there with straight kids.BuddyLee said:If some people hate homosexual's so much, why not just let them be? I gotcha dude, I was just following their train-o-thought. If gay people can't possibly reproduce I don't see the problem. They shouldn't be worried. Their argument is biologically true but obviously moot because the gay population continues to grow.Esprix said:Well, it doesn't really work like that. If anyone wants some facts and research, check this link out:
http://www.apa.org/pubinfo/answers.html
It's the American Psychological Association's FAQ about gay issues. Of course, some people will dismiss 40+ years of research into human sexuality as "biased," and that's their perogative, but I'm inclined to believe the preeminent psychological institution of the United States as an authority on the subject.
Here's a bullet point of note:
"What Causes a Person To Have a Particular Sexual Orientation?
There are numerous theories about the origins of a person's sexual orientation; most scientists today agree that sexual orientation is most likely the result of a complex interaction of environmental, cognitive and biological factors. In most people, sexual orientation is shaped at an early age. There is also considerable recent evidence to suggest that biology, including genetic or inborn hormonal factors, play a significant role in a person's sexuality. In summary, it is important to recognize that there are probably many reasons for a person's sexual orientation and the reasons may be different for different people.
Is Sexual Orientation a Choice?
No, human beings can not choose to be either gay or straight. Sexual orientation emerges for most people in early adolescence without any prior sexual experience. Although we can choose whether to act on our feelings, psychologists do not consider sexual orientation to be a conscious choice that can be voluntarily changed."
Food for thought, although I really didn't want this to be a big discussion on homosexuality.![]()

No, actually, I came here to ask about meeting other people from the LGBT community in my new home. That was it, really. Folks like you have decided to make it into something else, though, and I'm just trying to keep up.gumbo said:No one asked you to proclaim your love for you butt Buddie on here.

You could stop posting, you know. In fact, you never really had to read this thread to begin with if all you had to contribute was calling me names. I'm sure everyone appreciates the drama, though.
