Gay rights? Crap!

Parkers - Same Sex Marriage Legal - Impact

Watch the video and then tell me about gay marriage/gay rights.

This sheet pisses me off. Why do the school systems think this is OK to teach this? Why isn't this on more ballots this election? It needs to be before more states give into the gays.

Although I have no intention to preach to anyone here about Christianity, I expect the same respect as others. We don't believe gay marraige is normal, as it is written in the bible. Society has no right to force this on our children. I hope the parents in this video find a good lawyer and sue! Schools should be teaching reading, math and alike, not family values (or lack there of as in the gay culture). That's the parent's job.

Is this the religion thread or the political thread?

Or is it tis the season?

Coming from you :roflmao:
.

Ummmmm. Yeah. Maybe you should watch the video. It doesn't bash on gays. The parents talk about their experience and their view. They don't talk bad about gays at all.

The difference is that you think gay people rock. I think traditional families rock. You choose to hang out at gay bars. I choose to take my family to church on Sunday. It's a good thing we both have rights to choose, right?

Surprise, surprise I only got through about 5 seconds of it. Sounds like a BIG :cds: to me.

Based in the title I am assuming this is the whole Massachusetts David Parker stuff about one page of one book that shows a gay couple as a 'normal' family right?

This isn't about gay people's rights. It's about normal parent's rights. Big difference.

Ugh, I have to agree with you here. I do -not- believe that this should be taught in school. I do -not- believe that marriage, irregardless of same or opposite sex should be taught. I don't believe that diversity should be taught at all. That is a parent's responsibility.

Teach math, english, and science in school.

It seems you and I have very different views but it's nice to see we agree on something. Schools have gotten away from teaching what they should be teaching. There's too much other stuff going on in school. We'll leave it at that.

Thank you!

I agree. Enforce basic respect and behavior codes - no beating people up, no shouting ugly names at them, basic stuff - and that's it. Kids learn diversity by being around other types of people and seeing that they're not all that scary. They don't learn by having some teacher shoving their own beliefs down some kinnygardners throat.

Parents are steadily losing their rights when it comes to their children, and that should be of concern to all of us.

Not to mention it always humored me to teach acceptance when a person they are teaching it about is sitting in the room.

"Now, listen, all black people are equal to whites. Like little Tyrese over there in the corner. You all need to respect him because he is exactly the same as you. Yes, Tyrese? You have a question?"

"Yea, if I am exactly the same as everybody else, then why are you pointing me out right now?"
