I just found out about this today whilst reading the paper...
"I have nothing to say to them," says Levi, 36, a Jewish settler in northern Gaza, of the inspectors who will decide how much compensation he will receive for giving up his home. This summer, he will be forced to leave his home because the Israeli government has decided to "disengage" from the Palestinians in Gaza and move all the Israeli settlers out of the area.
Most Jewish settlers in the Gaza Strip plan to resist being evacuated from their homes during an Israeli pullout this summer, but few would resort to violence
I'm inclined to agree with the Israeli government. Move them out and avoid further conflict involving civilian casulties in that area. But what do I know??? I've never lived that life. I have no idea how to put myself in those settlers shoes.
There is also supposed to be like 4 villages evacuted from the West Bank...but that area is something else...jeez
