Genesis 21:6 Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.” 7 And she added, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”
Can you imagine the scene? Sarah finally has the child she had almost given up on. She had scoffed at the visitors when they told her "this time next year you'll have a child" [paraphrased] Now the other women in the tribe could make comments about her age, but they could no longer ridicule her for being childless.
